Summer 2005

I can't believe it has been three years already! How time flies when you are busy (hmm I wonder if having a toddler around has anything to do with it :-)

Let me see, in 2003 I went back to work for DST. In 2004 I worked. And in 2005 I worked. period

Ok maybe not that boring. :-) My good friend Scott recently got married. Zachary, Wendy and myself were all in the wedding. Zachary looked like a young man in a tux (he made us so proud!).

2002

New Year 2002
As we mentioned on the main page we found a birthmother and less they 36 hourse before our scheduled flight to go down there to see the delivery of the twins and to take them home, the birthmother changed her mind. We were devistated! We were speaking with the birthmother on the phone for a few months talking with her almost every night and she never led us to believe that she would change her mind. As a matter of fact she told us that once she makes a decision it is final.

The good news is that we found out that we were pregnant!!! Wooohooo! Even though we lost the adoption of the twins and that Wendy lost her job we have never been so happy. We are finally able to have the family that we have always wanted!!!

Ok so you read this all on the main page, it was just too much good news to not mention again!!!

Summer 2001
Wendy and I decided to adopt a baby. We have had a few miscarriages which has led us to pursue an adoption alternative. We made this decision around March and have been working on our birthmother letter and "plee" letters for our friends and family. September 1st we signed up with an adoption attorney and shortly after that we mailed cards out to our friends and family in hope that they can help us with our birthmother search. You see, to adopt a baby you have to find a baby. And the more people you let know the more chances we will find a baby to adopt.

I took Wendy camping for her first time (actually she went when she was a child but she doesn't remember it too much). We enjoyed our selves so much that we are hoping to make more future camping trips (maybe we can even start a family tradition.) :-) I am not too sure if the dogs enjoyed the camping too much, the hiking may have been a little more exercise then they are use to. (I think they enjoyed the outside air as much as we did but when we got home they sure did rest a lot. :-)

Mid Year 2001
This year seems to be a lot less busier then last. We finished up our major landscaping for our yard last Month. :-) I got the barbecue of my dreams for my birthday in March. You should see this barbecue! It has cast iron plates, four burners, a rotisserie and it has a full pan grease catcher (compared to my previous barbecue that caught the grease in a small soup can.

Also after getting two bed-liners for the truck we decided to get one that is sprayed on. The other bed-liners that we had were plastic and were both double back tapped to the truck. It was very dissapointing when we got the second liner and found out that it too was taped to the truck! The
sprayed on kind is perfect. It has a rough surfice to limit the amount of slipage.

Year 2000
We celebrated our first wedding anniversary! :-) AND MANY MORE TO COME!!!!

Starting year 2000 I began to help Ken with with getting his business on the web. We also got a new member of our family around March. And most importantly I started working for a new company that offers a lot more money, compasion, care, and benefits. :-)

For around the house we have done many things too. We painted our family room; we put up a shed to help store some stuff in (thanks very much to Wendy's dad for getting us the shed); had our front yard landscaped; and did a few other decorations around the house.

And finally the Oldsmobile that I had for over 10 years finally died. It took a long time to kill it too (I tried the sugar in the gas tank, running into walls, I even drove it off a cliff, but it still came back). Just joking, it just went kaput and we finally bought the truck that I always wanted. :-)
